EL Rey is quite a new restaurant in Estepona. It’s part of the same group as Casa Del Rey which has been in the town for many years and has a good reputation.
I’ve visited El Rey a few times and my experiences have been very good.
The service is friendly and efficient and the food is good. When you read the menu it’s hard to choose what to have as it all looks so tasty. One of the main problems is you’ll order too much.
They have a selection of beers on tap too, which is nice as it’s not something you see much in Estepona.
The one slight downside is that it is quite expensive, but this is to be expected due it’s location and style.
A very nice gastro bar. Certainly worth a visit!

Overall, this establishment is far from what you’d call a pub.
There are a couple of types of draft beer and a few beer snacks, but they’re mediocre.
The service is also poor: you have to call the waiter to place your order.

They have a good selection of food at El Rey.
Depending on how hungry you are you can choose from Tapas or larger plates.
It’s all well presented, but quite expensive.
They also have a great selection of drinks ??
La ubicación
El Rey is in a wonderful location.
With Calle Real one side and Av España the other you can choose from a beautiful street full of energy or views of the sea.
They are open everyday from 10am for Coffee all the way through to 2am for cocktails.
