El Patio recently moved from their location behind Plaza Antonia Guerrero (egg square) to a new, much bigger location down a side street just off Calle Terraza. It’s always been popular and I’ve wanted to go many times but without success because it was always so busy! Now it seems easier to get a table (or barrel)
When I visited, i found the service very helpful and the tapas and other dishes delicious at a good price. And the new location makes it feel slighlty secret and special.
I can’t wait to go back.
Great vibe and great food tucked down a side street in the heart of Estepona. You must try it!

La comida
I like the Tapas at EL Patio, but they also have some large fish dishes, casseroles, and sandwiches.
The food here isn’t fussy, it’s traditional, comforting, and full of heart. Every dish feels like it was made to be shared.
If you want Spanish Tapas you’ll love EL Patio.
La ubicación
El Patio is now on Calle Pintado, a quiet side street right in the centre of Estepona Old Town.
They have tables and barrels outside in the quaint street and even more space inside, with air conditioning.
They are open for lunch from 12 to 4pm and for dinner from 8pm until midnight. They’re closed on Monday’s and Tuesdays.
