Café Bar Reinaldo (Port)

We have been visiting Spain and going to Reinaldo’s for more than 14 years, and in the past the staff have always been friendly and efficient. Unfortunately, our experience this year was very different.

On our most recent visit, the service was disappointing. My husband ordered a beer that never arrived. We reminded our waitress several times, and each time she seemed irritated rather than helpful. At one point she returned to our table and asked us again what we had ordered, yet the beer still was not brought out.

When the bill arrived, we discovered we had been charged for three beers even though we had only received two. Rather than create a scene, we paid the bill but chose not to leave a tip.

After many years of enjoying this restaurant, it was disappointing to experience such poor and inattentive service. We hope this was an isolated incident and that the level of service returns to what we have enjoyed in the past.
