Sol Y Mar is a restaurant that I thought I wouldn’t like, but I do. It’s really good!

Don’t let the large photos of the food displayed outside put you off!

The food here has always been good when I’ve visited with my family – and the bill has always been a pleasant surprise.

Great value food that’s available every day.

Unfortunately, the service was terrible. I ordered tagliatella and they gave me a platter of sausage and ham from Mercadona, priced at €18, and without cutlery. I definitely won’t be back. Also, the beer was warm and they didn’t have draft beer, and the bruschetta had whole garlic cloves instead of fresh ones.

Sol Y Mar isn’t a fancy place bit the food is good.

Generous, tasty portions served quickly and a great price.

The have a selection of Spanish and Romanian food

They server lunch and dinner. The Menu Del Dia served until 4pm every day.

La ubicación

Sol Y Mar is on one of the main streets in Estepona, Calle Real.

Just round the corner from Plaza Ortiz it’s easy to find.

  • Central location
  • Lots of outside space
  • Muy fácil de encontrar

They have two locations on the opposite sides of Calle Real with plenty of tables so you shouldn’t have any trouble getting a table.

    An absolute winner for a good value dinner in the Old Town. I ordered octopus expecting to get the usual two or three tentacles and was presented with a plate of two whole octopus, braised to perfection – delicious! Don’t worry, the menu is varied and has something for everyone.
    The chef patron was a contestant on the Romanian version of Masterchef The Professionals – she knows her stuff. I can’t wait to try some of the Romanian specialities that are on the menu along with Spanish classics.
