Edit: I made a quick review and accidentally posted pics of the wrong burger from the wrong restaurant. I have removed those pics now. After my initial four star review talking about the excellent service, how they were friendly and made me feel welcomed, and how I’d for sure be back they left me a rude response due to the wrong pics. My opinion has changed now. I will not be back.

So I’ve lived in Estepona for 4 months now and people keep telling me I must try the burger at this place. Be warned, I’m tough to please when it comes to a burger, okay, okay food in general. I make a mean burger myself, I’m from the American South, and I’ve traveled in 50 countries…I like a good burger so much I have one tattooed on my body, but when it comes to the burger at this restaurant I’ve heard everything from “delicious “, to “amazing” to “Best burger of my life”. With those recommendations how could I not give it a try?

After a real crap day, make that week, I decided tonight was the night. My rating for the burger alone? Meh. It was alright. It tasted like a gourmet McDonald’s Big Mac if that’s possible. Way too much sauce of a style no one outside a fast food restaurant in the US would ever put on their burger. The sauce overpowered everything and made the bun soggy. All I could taste was the sauce.

The fries/chips were perfect.

I was offered a small sample of a local Spanish steak cooked perfectly that convinced me to return one day. I do have fine tastes when it comes to food. I don’t hide that. Beef isn’t even my favorite meat. I’ll take a fine bison steak or oh! Give me a fine mid rare horse steak and I’m in heaven but a ribeye will have to do when I’m in need.

Maybe…if you have finer tastes in food I could recommend you try something other than the burger. If you have a teenager with you order the burger for them.

In addition, the service was fantastic. I was made to feel welcomed which is not often the case at places in Estepona. Places usually look at me strangely and make some kind of rude comment about my dining alone. I’ve been doing less and less of it lately.
