Paralelo 36 is a functional bar right on the seafront. I’ve visited it a few times, but only for a drink, I’ve never tried the food here.

It does drinks well however, with a large outside seating area, a great view of the Mediterranean Sea and good service. My favorite time to visit is in the early evening as you can catch the last of the days sun and you’ll often find one of the best street performers in Estepona playing.

Great for a beachfront drink and some evening sun.

Great location , sadly let down by poor service , essentially under staffed and the staff management is poor. Lots of avoiding eye contact, lack of engagement and unwelcoming. I don’t think it’s the staffs fault per se, I would imagine working there on a busy day is a nightmare. This is an issue for the owner. They need to address it and get more staff in. It’s not a new problem here , been the same for the last few years. Come on whoever owns this place , you could double your takings by making it more efficient and turning tables quickly.

I didn’t eat, but the smoothies were good. The service, however, was downright rude, inhospitable, and incredibly grumpy. After asking for the bill twice, I went to the counter myself, and he finally flicked the receipt in front of me. Nice place, cheap furniture, and arrogant, grumpy service. It wasn’t a pleasure to sit there, so I’ll never go back.

Stop here for a couple of drinks was busy but able to find a seat with no issue. Wasn’t sat for long when waitress come to take drinks orders.

I haven’t tried the food here.

It just doesn’t look like the place to eat. It’s a bar!

The Location

The location is the best thing about the place. Right on the front next to a delightful square.

There are lots of tables outside, but it’s often busy, especially in the summer. When it’s busy the service can suffer too.
