Paralelo 36 is a functional bar right on the seafront. I’ve visited it a few times, but only for a drink, I’ve never tried the food here.

It does drinks well however, with a large outside seating area, a great view of the Mediterranean Sea and good service. My favorite time to visit is in the early evening as you can catch the last of the days sun and you’ll often find one of the best street performers in Estepona playing.

Great for a beachfront drink and some evening sun.

Nous venons depuis des années à Estepona et chez anciennement Lola’s bar avec des serveuses souriantes aimables et bienveillantes . Quelle surprise d’être aller prendre une sangria catastrophique sans goût . Avant elles étaient très bonnes copieuses un peu cher 8€ mais très très bonnes et pour être honnête je sentais qu’il y avait de l’alcool au moment de me lever 😉 même avec une seule. Là, même la casera don Simon ou autre c’est meilleur et on paye 6€ . Pathétique ses commentaires sont tous aussi mauvais les uns que les autres il est noté 2,4 sur 5 et zéro amélioration .on sent que l’ambiance est mauvaise les serveurs viennent prendre la commande on se demande bien pourquoi puisque « le patron » repasse derrière nous demander ce que l’on veut .Dernière fois .

A rant!
I’ve been coming to this establishment for many years.
They make a sublime sangria cocktail, a homemade recipe with fruit, but this year (2026) it’s not even up to Don Simon’s standards.
The price has dropped to €6 a glass; it used to be €8 a glass, but the quality is nothing like it.

The Food

I haven’t tried the food here.

It just doesn’t look like the place to eat. It’s a bar!

The Location

The location is the best thing about the place. Right on the front next to a delightful square.

There are lots of tables outside, but it’s often busy, especially in the summer. When it’s busy the service can suffer too.
