Paralelo 36 is a functional bar right on the seafront. I’ve visited it a few times, but only for a drink, I’ve never tried the food here.
It does drinks well however, with a large outside seating area, a great view of the Mediterranean Sea and good service. My favorite time to visit is in the early evening as you can catch the last of the days sun and you’ll often find one of the best street performers in Estepona playing.
Great for a beachfront drink and some evening sun.

A little lesson: not everything is profit. And if you’re so interested in profit, get into banking not customer service.
We waited 30 minutes to be served, and that was only because I eventually got up and went to ask. It wasn’t even busy. The staff were abrupt, avoided eye contact, and made us feel like an inconvenience rather than customers.
While we were there, one family sat down and waited around 20 minutes before going to ask about service, only to be told, “Sorry, we’re closed.” Why not go over to the table when they arrived and let them know you were closing? It is disorganised and unprofessional.
I’ve noticed the management replying to previous reviews saying they will improve, but nothing seems to change — so no need to respond with the same message again. It’s such a shame because with that location, this place could be amazing, however I live locally and have many visits with the same poor service every time.
The Food
I haven’t tried the food here.
It just doesn’t look like the place to eat. It’s a bar!

The Location
The location is the best thing about the place. Right on the front next to a delightful square.
There are lots of tables outside, but it’s often busy, especially in the summer. When it’s busy the service can suffer too.
They are open from 9am in the morning right through to midnight.
