Paralelo 36 is a functional bar right on the seafront. I’ve visited it a few times, but only for a drink, I’ve never tried the food here.

It does drinks well however, with a large outside seating area, a great view of the Mediterranean Sea and good service. My favorite time to visit is in the early evening as you can catch the last of the days sun and you’ll often find one of the best street performers in Estepona playing.

Great for a beachfront drink and some evening sun.

A very unpleasant experience.
We sat down a few minutes ago and a waiter with curly hair yelled at us to leave, saying, “Hey, not there, that’s reserved!” His rudeness and poor manners were unbelievable. There were plenty of free tables; the problem wasn’t that the table was reserved, which we hadn’t noticed, but rather his rudeness, aggression, and bad manners. I will never sit there again with anyone, despite it being in a very good location.

And because they couldn’t pay less attention to the terrible and ordinary service, we arrived at 10 am and it took them more than 40 minutes to bring us 2 “toasts” that supposedly took so long because they had many tables and it wasn’t even full, the food was cold and the service from everyone was again terrible

We were treated disrespectfully. I asked for the menu, and the waiter returned 10 minutes later only to tell me there was a QR code where I could view it. After that, they didn’t attend to us again, even though we had been waiting for over 30 minutes.

We understand that it was busy and that they might have been occupied, but they could simply inform customers that there would be a short wait. Furthermore, other people who arrived after us had already received their drinks or food, while we continued waiting unattended.

I don’t know what happened, but the experience was very unpleasant, and we felt ignored.

I haven’t tried the food here.

It just doesn’t look like the place to eat. It’s a bar!

The Location

The location is the best thing about the place. Right on the front next to a delightful square.

There are lots of tables outside, but it’s often busy, especially in the summer. When it’s busy the service can suffer too.
