Abanico is a hidden gem in Estepona. I only found it recently.

The staff here are very friendly and all the food I’ve tried here has been really tasty and at a great price.

If you fancy a change from the expensive, touristy places in the Old Town you must visit Abanico.

I just ate at a very charming place. Where the food is very tasty and of very good quality. Very affordable prices where what you choose is fresh and homemade. It has a terrace that faces the interior of the building, very cozy. The owners are very attentive. I leave with a very good taste in my mouth and having enjoyed a tasty meal.

The Food

I love the tapas at Abanico.

They’re really great value and super tasty.

They also offer a few different dishes that you don’t find in many other places.

You get bread and olives everytime!

Be sure to try the stuffed mushroom!

The Location

Abanico is just outside the old town close to the Ayuntamiento.

It’s on a lovely quiet square and they have tables inside and out.

Situatred on a lovely square – perfect for children to play on.
Lots of space both inside and out
A short walk from the old town and the beach.

They are open everyday apart from Wednesday. On Monday’s and Tuesday’s they are only open for lunch.
