EL Rey is quite a new restaurant in Estepona. It’s part of the same group as Casa Del Rey which has been in the town for many years and has a good reputation.

I’ve visited El Rey a few times and my experiences have been very good.

The service is friendly and efficient and the food is good. When you read the menu it’s hard to choose what to have as it all looks so tasty. One of the main problems is you’ll order too much.

They have a selection of beers on tap too, which is nice as it’s not something you see much in Estepona.

The one slight downside is that it is quite expensive, but this is to be expected due it’s location and style.

A very nice gastro bar. Certainly worth a visit!

Like “La Casa del Rey”, and “Reinaldo” the attention is 10!!! Delicious food, fusion tapas and traditional classics. The menu changes according to seasonal products, which I think is great! All the staff serve you with a smile and good vibes, even when the place is very full!! Very well prepared dishes, selection of wines and glasses, and above all, everyone’s kindness!!

We loved it!!! The food was exquisite, the presentation unbeatable and all this was perfect, thanks to the service of the person who served us, close, pleasant and super professional, Fernando is a must in Estepona, I recommend, foet sirloin toast, salmon tartar, crayfish tartar panipuri, cheesecake with pistachio and they have an extensive wine list….

They have a good selection of food at El Rey.

Depending on how hungry you are you can choose from Tapas or larger plates.

It’s all well presented, but quite expensive.

The Location

El Rey is in a wonderful location.

With Calle Real one side and Av España the other you can choose from a beautiful street full of energy or views of the sea.

Nice location with choice of outside seating
Lots of space both inside and out
Comfortable well presented inside space

They are open everyday from 10am for Coffee all the way through to 2am for cocktails.
