This restaurant was one of the first Italian restaurants in Estepona.

I’ve been many times and I’ve always enjoyed it. They serve a good selection of Italian food so expect Pizza and freshly made pasta.

It’s very popular so you’ll need to reserve a table before you visit.

On my last visit (the one in the video) they did overcook my pizza a little (it was a bit black on the bottom). They cooked me another one really quickly so I wasn’t too worried. They were very busy that night.

Certainly worth a visit.

A classic well established Italian Restaurant that’s always busy

  • Friendly efficient service
  • Central location on Calle Real

A delightful find in Estepona, El Rincón Toscano is the kind of Italian restaurant you hope to stumble upon while strolling through town. With both cozy indoor seating and charming sidewalk tables, it’s a perfect spot to relax and soak in the atmosphere.

The service truly stands out—every member of the waitstaff is warm and attentive, with Angela deserving a special mention for her friendliness and care.

We started with a cava sangria, beautifully refreshing with slices of lemon and orange—an ideal choice on a sunny day. The Etruscan salad was as stunning as it was delicious, featuring fresh arugula, sweet orange segments, crunchy walnuts, and delicate shavings of Parmesan.

The Toscano pizza with sausage and mushrooms was outstanding. The crust was thin, perfectly charred, and full of flavor—exactly what you want from an authentic Italian pizza.

All in all, a wonderful dining experience we’d happily return to.

I was craving pizza but my first-choice restaurant was full. I should have realized this was a tourist trap on a street full of tourist trap restaurants before I sat down. Certainly figured it out as soon as the server delivered the basket of stale bread and tinned olives to my table without admitting they’d charge for it if I touched it. When did Spanish restaurants – even in towns as overly touristified as Estepona – start copying this sleazy “coperto” habit of the worst places in Rome. Florence, etc? It doesn’t look good on you, Spain. Even if your costs have gone up, restaurant owners, be honest and ask your customers if they want it and what it costs. I would even pay more for good quality olives, bread, etc. But not old stuff from local supermercado. Anyway. My refusal of this offer turned the friendly server into a hostile one. The pizza was just so-so. And they need to fix their screen door, which slams everytime anyone goes in or out. There are better places to eat in Estepona by going up away from the waterfront a street or two more.

The Food

Expect all your favorite Italian food like Pizza and Pasta.

The pasta is particularly good and something we always order when we visit.

  • Delicious Fresh Pasta
  • Pizzas are good
  • Italian rice dishes also available
  • Good dessert selection (but expensive)

In summary, they offer all the Italian classics you’d expect.

The Location

This restaurant is located on Calle Real, a bustling street only a one-minute walk from the beach. It’s very easy to find.

They have inside space, too.

  • Easy to find old town location
  • Lots of outside seating
  • Close to parking and the beach

They are open every day. They get very busy so booking is essential.
