I visited Bardo just one week after they had opened and I think they were still getting used to everything.

The food was a mixed selection. We ordered tapas.

The fries were very garlicky, but in hindsight, the menu did say “A la provenzal”, which I now know means “with garlic and parsley”.

The Empanadas where ok, but a little salty and the Croquette was a bit bland.

The artichoke was delicious.

Apart from the food, I did enjoy my time at Bardo. The service was very helpful and friendly.

Bardo is in a beautiful location in Estepona Old Town, a great place to spend some time.

We discovered this place while strolling through Estepona’s old town. The restaurant is located right next to the Church of Santa María de los Remedios.

From the outside, we were drawn to how beautiful the interior was, and after reading the reviews, we decided to go. Great choice!

The place is gorgeous; we were surprised that we were the only ones eating there.

We ordered the artichokes, the king prawns in pil-pil sauce, and the breaded veal cutlet. Everything was absolutely delicious, especially the king prawns. We wished we had more bread! 🤤

The waitress was very attentive and polite. Plus, the restaurant is pet-friendly. What more could you ask for? 🥰

A lovely and delicious find!

Cozy Spanish/Argentine restaurant tucked away in Estepona. Excellent service (they also speak English). The interior is romantic and cozy, and very clean. You can walk straight into the kitchen if you like. The food is excellent quality, and the price-quality ratio is excellent. Enjoy yourself instead of stuffing yourself.

Wow, what an amazing find. Tucked away in the old town of Estepona, we stumbled across Bardo and so glad we did. We have been coming into the town here for over 5 years and how we have managed to miss this I dont know.
The ambience and decor immediately makes you feel relaxed and comfortable whilst the staff are so friendly and helpful as well. This is a family business so the welcome and camaraderie between the team is genuine!
We chose a wine which they didn’t have in stock but after asking about our taste, they recommended another, explained it’s origins and it was just perfect.
We started with a selection of langostine and oxtail croquettes which were outstanding and followed with the slow cooked rib of beef and the steak. I couldn’t fault either, cooked to perfection and the truffle mashed potato was divine.
Finally we managed to squeeze in the crepe with dulce leche which was the perfect end to the meal. Needless to say we needed a walk after all the food, but I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this gem of a restaurant.
We’ll definitely be back!
Thank you for a perfect evening.
