This Mexican restaurant is a true hidden gem.

Run by a friendly and welcoming family, they always make you feel like an old friend, even if it’s your first visit.

The food is fantastic and always a delight.

The one downside would be if you’re vegetarian as there aren’t many meat-free dishes to choose.

Absolutely phenomenal dinner.

We brought our 3 kids here for dinner. The owner recommended we allow him to bring a sampling of different dishes from the menu for us to try, and we’re so glad we did.

He brought us 4 dishes plus desserts and all were truly excellent. Some of the best Mexican food we’ve ever had. Fresh and filling, without being heavy or greasy. He mentioned that some ingredients are Even imported all the way from Mexico, and it showed. Even better, when 2 of our less adventures daughters didn’t enjoy a course, he instead brought them just a basic quesadillas with meat so they’d be full.

My wife also had a margarita, and said it was one (if not the) best she’s ever had, including fresh limes. We finished our meal off with a Paloma, which lived up to the hype.

Service, food, and overall experience were as good as can be. Price was very reasonable for what we received. Can’t wait to go back!

This place was amazing as well as the owner that was leading us through this culinary experience. If he tells you to try something, go for it! The food is authentic and not the typical Mexican dishes you see everywhere in the restaurants here. Also talking to the owner was super interesting. Apparently many ingredients are imported directly from Mexico as there’s no good substitute here! I’d say one of the best places in Estepona.

Tasty, homemade and authentic. If you are passionate about Mexican food, you will find what you are looking for there. Run by its owners, a Mexican family.
I will definitely return
I recommend enchiladas and tacos al pastor!

Los Agaves has a small menu of authentic homemade Mexican food.

Homemade traditional Mexican food
Mexican beers and cocktails
Full of flavor, but not too spicy. You can add spice yourself
Not many vegetarian options

They have the classics you’d expect like a choice of tacos and Quessidillas but they also have more unique things like Huaraches and Tostadas.

The Location

Los Agaves is in a lovely square in the newer part of Estepona

They have lots of tables outside so you should be able to get a table.

They are open every day apart from Wednesdays.
