This Mexican restaurant is a true hidden gem.

Run by a friendly and welcoming family, they always make you feel like an old friend, even if it’s your first visit.

The food is fantastic and always a delight.

The one downside would be if you’re vegetarian as there aren’t many meat-free dishes to choose.

This is our favorite place in all of Estepona and it’s because of the excellent people who have created this place out of love. The food is next level and created authentically from fresh ingredients and perfectly safe for celiac. Myself and two of my children require not just gluten free but no cross contamination with wheat and they prepare everything perfectly and we have returned time and time again. We even had a moment where Ricardo ran over to stop my youngest from eating a bite of my wife’s taco because he knew it was not gluten free. Incredible people and the best food. Eduardo and Ricardo are the brothers who run the spot and it’s absolutely incredible and we feel like family here.

If you want to experience the authentic taste of Mexican cuisine, Los Agaves is the place to go. Each dish is full of flavor and prepared with a care that truly shines. It’s a gastronomic experience that stands out for its quality, authenticity, and attention to detail.

The service was also excellent. Eduardo is a true professional: attentive, friendly, and always willing to make the experience even better.

We had a great time and will definitely return. Highly recommended for those looking for a true Mexican gastronomic experience, rich in flavor and with a welcoming atmosphere.

Lovely plaza location, deliciousssss food! It’s authentic homemade Mexican food. Tasty and not oily. Small portions like tapas so that you get to try a few items. Highly recommend. My picky eater child loved it as well. “I want 8 of these!” (Chicken quesadillas). Everything we ordered was great!

Full of flavor, but not too spicy. You can add spice yourself
Not many vegetarian options

They have the classics you’d expect like a choice of tacos and Quessidillas but they also have more unique things like Huaraches and Tostadas.

The Location

Los Agaves is in a lovely square in the newer part of Estepona

They have lots of tables outside so you should be able to get a table.

They are open every day apart from Wednesdays.
