Places to get Tapas in Estepona
El Capote
El Capote is a lovely, traditional Spanish tapas bar in the Old Town, right next to the ancient Estepona castle. It’s very easy to find, and there is seating inside and out.
The Tapas are all freshly prepared and great value for money. As well as the usual selection you’ll also find a few unique dishes (like their Tortillita Taco! 🌮).
La Sureña
La Sureña is situated on one of the best and most popular squares, Plaza de las Flores.
They serve all the classic tapas, things like ‘Carne con Tomate’ and ‘Ensalada Rusa’ – and they’re all at a really good price, despite their central, touristy location.
The service is always fast and friendly too. It’s always good and well worth a visit.
La Antigua Estación
Situated on Plaza ABC in the ‘new town’ part of Estepona La Antigua Estación is one of my favorite Tapas places in Estepona.
They have an extensive range of different dishes, including Spanish classics and modern twists.
Everything is well-priced, and the service is always excellent.

Taberna Juan Luna
Taberna Juan Luna is a true hidden gem that’s very popular with locals and those in the know.
They offer a great collection of Tapas and other dishes.
You’ll find Juan Luna on Plaza Juanita Valderrama, a square in the ‘new town’ of Estepona. It’s a big, safe square, so it’s a great place to let the children play why you enjoy some delicious food.

Darcy’s Delicatessen
Tucked away on arguably the most beautiful street in Estepona you’ll find Darcy’s.
On a Friday Evening and Saturday afternoon, you’ll find a selection of freshly prepared warm tapas. The rest of the time they offer fine cheeses and cold meats.
To drink, they have an amazing selection of wines and beers, along with craft beer on tap.
Darcy’s is somewhere you have to visit to appreciate the magic of the place.
La Cocina (La Botica De La Cocina)
La Cocina is both a restaurant and a tapas bar, both of which are very good.
The tapas bar is in a nice part of the old town, and sometimes, at the weekend, you can find a flamenco guitarist and singer.
They are very well known for their fried olives, which are absolutely delicious – you have to try them if you visit!
El Descaro
El Descaro is next-door to La Sureña on the colorful Plaza de las Flores. They have seating right in the center of the square so you can enjoy some tapas surrounded by beautiful flowers.
The food is always good here, and they offer several different tapas that are a refreshing change from the usual selection usually offered by tapas bars.
The service is fast and friendly, and they’ve always made me feel very welcome here.
