El Capote is well worth a visit. Situated by the ancient castle it’s just a few steps from the main tourist area around Plaza de las Flores but is much more peaceful.

This place is popular with locals and the authentic Spanish tapas selection is tasty and not expensive.

If you’re looking for something a bit different be sure to try the Taco made from a Tortillita de Gambas – it’s a bit greasy but delicious!

A great place to enjoy traditional Spanish tapas

It was a place I used to go to, since my second home is in Estepona. A place where you could eat well at an affordable price, one of the few in Estepona that wasn’t geared towards foreign tourists. It’s changed now; tapas are €4.50, and the small sandwiches have fewer ingredients than before. I won’t waste my time going back, to be honest, which is a shame because we loved it.
