My husband and I love this restaurant. I love the ensalada templada and my husband loves the avocado, tomato and onion salad. We have ordered the pork knuckle and it’s simply delicious. The meat falls off the bone and the sauce is amazing. It’s served with papas fritas. The steaks are very good too, tender and juicy also served with patatas fritas.

We usually get individual salads and split the pork knuckle and it’s plenty of food.

In the US there is not much sharing of plates but we love that about Spain.

The staff is all very friendly and the service is very good.

The best tapas in Estepona.
The prices are what they currently have, but the tapas are very successful, with quality and presentation of 10.

I recommend avoiding it, definitely our worst choice in Estepona. We wanted eggplant in honey, my husband also ordered pork shank. Apart from eggplant, there is nothing else on the menu except meat. The eggplant was so bad we left it. The pork shank is very salty and not special. Only cold beer was ok, but we wanted to order something else to drink so we could stay longer. After ordering beer, I think we turned out to be unworthy 😉 of subsequent orders because the waiter immediately took away the alcohol menu. And the tragic noise.

Taberna Diez offers a selection of Mediterranean dishes, both traditional and modern.

I’ve not yet tried this restaurant so, but every time I walk past and catch a glimpse of the food, it always looks good.

The Location

Taberna Diez is on the wonderful Calle Reale one of the main streets through Estepona.

There is plenty of outside seating but booking during the summer is essential.

During the winter there is some tables inside.

In the heart of Estepona

1 minute walk to the beach

If you need a taxi after your meal you’ll find them just round the corner on Av. España.
