I visited Texas Longhorn for the first time recently with my family.

After a slow start with the service, things quickly improved when were brought a plate of nachos on the house as an apology for the wait. They were some of the best loaded nachos I’ve had!

The rest of the food arrived quickly and was equally delicious.

We really enjoyed our visit to Texas Longhorn and would highly recommend it!

Some of the best Tex-Mex food in Estepona.

When I saw the name for the smaller steak being a “ladies” steak it rang alarm bells in my head and instantly made me feel as though the restaurant wasn’t a safe place for anyone who isn’t a straight white man. The feeling only worsened when I saw the name for vegetarian food being “rabbit food” which somehow managed to put native Americans and vegetarians in a bad light. I probably won’t go back knowing that I wouldnt feel safe in the same room as the owner

The target audience is clearly for older white men who have the money to spend. The small portion steak is called “ladies” which even tho their intentions is to come across as a joke it is clearly a minor aggression and promotes misogynistic behaviour demeaning women and making them feel less than men. Even tho this review might come across as extremist to some of those I hope you can open you mind and realise that it is a problem and it shouldn’t be joked about. And they clearly hate vegetarians labeling their vegetarian option as rabbit food. It is honestly just a disgraceful restaurant concept that is old timed which I’m sure the owner is an old timed white male.

The Food

Texas Longhorn serves a selection of Tex-Mex-style food including Steak, Burgers, Ribs, and Fajitas.

The food is all of very high quality and cooked well.

The steak I had here was one the best I’ve had in Estepona.

The Location

Situated in the centre of the old town Texas Longhorn is easy to get to.

The interior is well styled in an American theme and there are numerous tables in the cobbled street.
