Avocado

One of many

Set in the beautiful Plaza de las Flores, Avocado is mostly a tapas place but does offer other bigger dishes, cakes and Ice Creams too. The food is ok but you can find better in Estepona.

Avacodo is ok. Personally, I think the food, and sometimes the service lets it down.

They have a large selection of great-looking tapas. Unfortunately, they don’t always deliver on taste and enjoyment. The Tacos, for example, are actually just bad.

This place used to be called Vitin and was considerably better than it is now.

The best thing going for it is that it’s on the wonderful Plaza de las Flores which is a delightful place to sit regardless of how good the service and food. ?

Not worth going out of your way for.

What we like

  • Good location
  • Nice ice cream
  • Lots of covered tables

What we don’t like

  • The food isn’t very good
  • Service can be slow
  • Not always very clean
  • Overpriced for the quality

La cafetería está en un rinconcito acogedor al lado de una fuente que es súper agradable estar escuchando el agua mientras tomas algo. Nos atendió Esperanza, súper maja y atenta. ¡Volveré siempre! Todo rico rico.

Mid-March, eating and drinking outside on the terrace. It’s possible. At ‘Avocado’. Of course, the patio heater is working. And it’s necessary. Even in southern Spain, towards the end of winter. The food is even more heartwarming! Not only is the temperature of the food perfectly fine, the taste is more than good. No, at Avocado, the kitchen is rock solid. The service is also excellent. And, I rarely, if ever, comment on it, but the restrooms deserve an honorable mention. Clean, working, and soap and towels where they should be. Kudos!

The Food

Unfortunately, the food is quite expensive and not always very good.

They do have a good selection of things but choose carefully.

  • Tapas selection
  • Rations and plates too
  • Good ice cream selection
  • Cakes and Donoughts

They have a nice ice cream selection in the summer. However, you can find better Ice Cream in Estepona.

The Location

This Café in the main square of Estepona, Plaza de las Flores.

It’s in a central location and very easy to walk to from most places in the town.

  • Lots of outside seating in a beautiful square
  • Some inside space
  • Covered tables that are sheltered from the sun and the rain.

They are open all day until midnight.
