The lovely Tapas bar is in my neighborhood (it’s just across the street). It’s wonderfully not touristy.
I’ve been a number of times and always enjoyed it. I love the Tapas here, but they also do some yummy bigger plates.
You must try the Mini Burgers, especially the prawn one.
Juan Luna is on a hidden square in the new town.

After several initial contacts, in which everything seemed fine, a crucial moment arrived when we needed confirmations and guarantees to move forward… and they stopped responding. Calls went unanswered, messages went unanswered, and there was no assurance that the event could ultimately take place at the venue.
When it comes to a wedding, the lack of communication and commitment creates enormous uncertainty and is completely unacceptable. You can’t play games with something so important to a couple.
It’s a shame, because the venue seemed to have potential, but the management and customer service were very unprofessional. I wouldn’t recommend it for important events where reliability and professionalism are essential.
I recommend ordering the cachopo.
The Food
Expect traditional tapas with a few specials thrown in. They have big plates too. The food is very good value, tasty and well presented.
The food is great value and generally served quickly.
The Location
Taberna Juan Luna is situated on a hidden square in the newer side of Estepona.
Although it’s not that well known, especially by tourists it’s easy to find and only 5 minutes from the beach.
They are open every day except Tuesday. Their opening hours fluctuate, so check their social media before visiting.
