My parents have stayed here a number of times and they absolutely love it.
It’s very luxurious.
The rooms are big, well-equipped, and cleaned impeccably. This, combined with helpful, attentive services, makes it a lovely place to stay.
The hotel also has four restaurants and two bars, including a rooftop bar with jaw-dropping views of Estepona.
If you can afford it, it’s certainly worth a stay. If not, be sure to check out the roof bar anyway.

Wat een geweldige ervaring! Hotel Pilar in Estepona is zonder twijfel één van de mooiste hotels in de stad. Vanaf het moment dat je binnenkomt, ervaar je de rust, sfeer, warmte en voel je je welkom. De kamers zijn werkelijk fantastisch , stijlvol ingericht, brandschoon en van alle gemakken voorzien. Iedere dag krijg je een fles water van het huis, een klein gebaar dat je verblijf nét dat beetje extra luxe geeft. WIFI is top.
De medewerkers zijn vriendelijk, oprecht behulpzaam en altijd bereid om mee te denken. Service staat hier duidelijk hoog in het vaandel.
Ook op culinair gebied kom je hier niets tekort. Het restaurant op de begane grond met een mooie terras aan het plein én op het prachtige dakterras biedt een verrassend goede menukaart met heerlijke gerechten tegen betaalbare prijzen. En dan die bar op het dakterras… een waar hoogtepunt! Met een schitterend uitzicht over Estepona, een gezellige sfeer en een fijne selectie aan drankjes is het de perfecte plek om de avond af te sluiten.
Daarnaast is de pub naast het hotel een gezellige toevoeging als je nog even wilt naborrelen. De locatie van Hotel Pilar is simpelweg top: midden aan de charmante Plaza de Flores, in het hart van het centrum, en op slechts twee minuten lopen van het strand.
Kortom: een absolute aanrader.

I must say, you have a tv in the living room and one in the bedroom, hairdryer, bath robes and 2 sets of cosmetics (shower gel/body lotion/shampoo/conditioner/soap) that smell divine!
Aaaand….the couch is expandable! Congratulations to the staff and the management!

El Pillar is a luxury boutique hotel for when you want to enjoy the best.
Even the cheapest rooms are big, well-equipped and very comfortable.
The service is friendly and attentive and will make sure your stay is enjoyable.
The Location
This hotel is right in the center of Estepona Old Town, on Plaze de las Flores
From here you have easy access to the beach and the old town.
There isn’t any parking here but it’s only 5 minute walk to the nearest public car park.
