I haven’t stayed here but I have visited to find the best rooftop bars in Estepona.
I loved the time I spent here.
Everyone was friendly and it had a really nice vibe.
The rooftop bar was great too with a small pool and fantastic views of the town and mountains.
Worth visiting, if only to go on the roof terrace!

The location is absolutely perfect — right in the center of Estepona and within walking distance of all the best spots, restaurants, and the beach. You really can’t ask for better positioning.
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, especially Mauro, who made us feel very welcome from the start. Service like that makes a real difference.
Both the common areas and our private room were very clean and well maintained. Everything felt organized and comfortable.
The rooftop bar is a huge plus — great atmosphere and a perfect place to relax in the evening.
The only thing that could be improved is the door insulation in our room. The soundproofing wasn’t great and we could hear everything from the outside.
Overall, a fantastic place to stay in Estepona. We would happily come back.
My only suggestion would be to improve the single beds; they are very small and the mattresses are very thin.
We will definitely return.

What to expect
Veranera is a hostel with both shared dorms and private rooms.
The shared rooms are the best value but expect to share with up to 8 people. Same sex rooms are available.
Expect to find other travelers and good vibes.
The Location
Veranera is located in a quiet part of the Old Town in Estepona.
From Veranera most things are in walking distance, including the old towns restaurants, bars and cafes.
It also has a fantastic rooftop bar.
There isn’t any parking here, but it’s not far from public car parks which are really cheap.
