The Best Children’s Playgrounds in the Estepona

Paseo Maritimo

The playground on the Paseo is a standout in Estepona – arguably one of the best in Spain!

Brimming with a variety of play equipment such as swings, slides, climbing frames, trampolines, and more, it’s a paradise for kids.

My children love it for many reasons, including:

A wide range of play structures
Shaded areas thanks to large sails
Ample seating for parents
Beautiful sea and beach views
Conveniently central location
Inclusive features for children with disabilities

For us, this playground offers the perfect blend of fun, relaxation, and picturesque scenery, making it a must-visit spot for families.

Chess Square (Plaza del Ajedrez)

Plaza del Ajedrez is a spacious square with a charming chess theme.

It features expansive open areas for children to run around and play, along with some playground equipment, including a recently added ‘pirate ship’ complete with a slide.

Just around the corner, heading towards Av. Andalucia, you’ll discover even more play equipment, including some swings.

Parque Del Calvario

Parque Del Calvario is a charming park in Estepona. Not only does it offer playground equipment, but it also features waterfalls and plenty of open space.

The park is home to some intriguing wildlife that your children will love discovering, including turtles, guinea pigs, and rabbits.

Parque Central

Tucked away off Av. Juan Carlos is Parque Central.

This charming park, nestled in the town center, offers a serene escape with its beautiful fountain and abundant greenery.

While it may not have extensive play equipment, it’s an inviting place for a peaceful stroll or a relaxing break amidst nature.

Perfect for a quiet afternoon, it’s a delightful spot to unwind and enjoy the surroundings.

The park at the top of the hill near Lidl

At the top of some rainbow-painted stairs, you’ll find a wonderful playground.

As well as being kitted out with some of the latest play equipment, you can also enjoy fabulous views of Estepona and the surrounding landscapes.

A great time to go is in the evening when you can watch the sunset behind the mountains.

Parque Huerta Nueva

This is a small park but nicely presented park.

It had a slide and some swings and plenty of seats in the shade.

Probably not worth going out of your way for but if you’re in the new town, check it out.

Once you’ve checked out the playgrounds, you’ll find loads of other things to do with kids in Estepona.

And if it’s raining? We’ve got you covered too.
