Abanico is a hidden gem in Estepona. I only found it recently.

The staff here are very friendly and all the food I’ve tried here has been really tasty and at a great price.

If you fancy a change from the expensive, touristy places in the Old Town you must visit Abanico.

Abanico in Estepona is a delightful find just outside the old town. The restaurant offers a welcoming atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating on a tranquil square. The menu features a variety of tasty tapas and full plates, all at great value. The owners are exceptionally friendly and attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. We particularly enjoyed the stuffed mushrooms, secreto iberico and the variety of tapas offered. It’s a perfect spot for both lunch and dinner, and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting Estepona.

The Food

I love the tapas at Abanico.

They’re really great value and super tasty.

They also offer a few different dishes that you don’t find in many other places.

Be sure to try the stuffed mushroom!

The Location

Abanico is just outside the old town close to the Ayuntamiento.

It’s on a lovely quiet square and they have tables inside and out.

Situatred on a lovely square – perfect for children to play on.
Lots of space both inside and out
A short walk from the old town and the beach.

They are open everyday apart from Wednesday. On Monday’s and Tuesday’s they are only open for lunch.
