I really like El Descaro and have eaten here many times. The food is good and is alway presented well. They offer lots of tapas and some bigger plates too. Las Costillas (Ribs) are particularly good!

ℹ️ El Descaro opening hours are dependant on the weather. On a sunny day it’s a great place to site outside and enjoy the food and drinks however if the weather is bad they may not be open.

El Descaro is one of my favorites and I visit it regularly.

I especially enjoy the tapas which are a little bit different from the usual things you’ll find in Estepona – it’s a good place to go if you fancy a change from La Sureña.

Set on the beautiful Plaza de las Flores it’s a very pleasant place to spend time although the tables and chairs could be spaced out a little more.

Martin the head waiter is always friendly and helpful when I visit.

This was our first time dining here, and it was a fabulous experience. The food was exquisite, the staff’s service impeccable, and the atmosphere very pleasant. It was an evening we’ll definitely be returning to soon.

El nombre viene perfecto a su descaro. La comida es peor que mala, la tosta de solomillo viene en el típico pan estilo picatoste de supermercado, 8 rodajas de berenjena transparentes con cuatro gotas de miel… Podría seguir así con todo lo que pedimos. Y ya para terminar, te cobran las aceitunas que te ponen con la bebida. Una pena que estén ubicados en una plaza tan bonita, si quieres cenar ahí, desde luego este no es el sitio.

The Food

The food at El Descaro is very good. It’s always well presented and tastes good too.

Prices are fairly expensive, but you are on the main square in Estepona.

The Location

Situated on one of the best squares in Estepona El Descaro is a delightful place to spend time when the weather is fine.

They have a lot of tables in the middle of the square, probably too many in my opinion as it can feel a little squashed.
