I really like El Descaro and have eaten here many times. The food is good and is alway presented well. They offer lots of tapas and some bigger plates too. Las Costillas (Ribs) are particularly good!

ℹ️ El Descaro opening hours are dependant on the weather. On a sunny day it’s a great place to site outside and enjoy the food and drinks however if the weather is bad they may not be open.

🌧️ There is some inside space at El Descaro however they will probably be closed if the weather is bad.

El Descaro is one of my favorites and I visit it regularly.

I especially enjoy the tapas which are a little bit different from the usual things you’ll find in Estepona – it’s a good place to go if you fancy a change from La Sureña.

Set on the beautiful Plaza de las Flores it’s a very pleasant place to spend time although the tables and chairs could be spaced out a little more.

Martin the head waiter is always friendly and helpful when I visit.

This was by far the worst restaurant I’ve ever been to. While the staff was friendly, the food lacked any care or quality. Every dish seemed thrown together using the cheapest ingredients possible. It’s clear this place is focused on profit, not on delivering good food. I genuinely wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Save yourself the disappointment and eat somewhere else—you’ll thank me later.

The Food

The food at El Descaro is very good. It’s always well presented and tastes good too.

Prices are fairly expensive, but you are on the main square in Estepona.

Good wine 🍷

The service matches the food in quality especially Martin who always welcomes me like and old friend.

The Location

Situated on one of the best squares in Estepona El Descaro is a delightful place to spend time when the weather is fine.

They have a lot of tables in the middle of the square, probably too many in my opinion as it can feel a little squashed.
