ℹ️ El Descaro opening hours are dependant on the weather. On a sunny day it’s a great place to site outside and enjoy the food and drinks however if the weather is bad they may not be open.
?️ There is some inside space at El Descaro however they will probably be closed if the weather is bad.

El Descaro is one of my favorites and I visit it regularly.
I especially enjoy the tapas which are a little bit different from the usual things you’ll find in Estepona – it’s a good place to go if you fancy a change from La Sureña.
Set on the beautiful Plaza de las Flores it’s a very pleasant place to spend time although the tables and chairs could be spaced out a little more.
Martin the head waiter is always friendly and helpful when I visit.

Raciones ridiulas de comida precocinada.
Agua a precio de cava. El pulpo ni estaba ni se le esperaba. Las albóndigas de bote del Mercadona. La carrilada al pedro Ximénez fría e insípida. El taco Mexicano podría salvarse si no se hubiera quedado entre los dientes de lo pequeño que era.
En fin…..para atracar a turistas que no repetirán. Dudo que ningun local coma aquí….
But let’s be honest, 1 hour waiting for tapas and after that all good brought together is a mistake.
The calamari sandwiches were industrial-quality, tasteless, and the chips were awful, looking very old. The service was very poor throughout the meal.
To top it all off, they asked us for a tip at the end, even though the service was really bad. We thought that was terrible.
The Food
The food at El Descaro is very good. It’s always well presented and tastes good too.
Prices are fairly expensive, but you are on the main square in Estepona.
The service matches the food in quality especially Martin who always welcomes me like and old friend.
The Location
Situated on one of the best squares in Estepona El Descaro is a delightful place to spend time when the weather is fine.
They have a lot of tables in the middle of the square, probably too many in my opinion as it can feel a little squashed.
Be prepared for some music too as it’s a very popular place for buskers to perform.
