I’ve been visiting La Italiana for over 15 years and it’s still one of my favorite places. It’s probably best know and most popular for it’s Ice Cream. You’ll find a great selection of Ice Cream sundaes that you won’t find anywhere else in Estepona.
La Italiana is great value. You can pick up a breakfast of toast, fresh orange juice, and a hot drink for less than €5!
Unmissable. A staple part of any visit to Estepona!

I am writing to you to express my deep dissatisfaction with the service I received in your cafeteria on February 21 at 3:45 p.m. Unfortunately, my experience was very negative due to the staff’s attitude and lack of customer service.
I sat at a table in the square and, after moving it one meter, a waitress approached without saying a word, moved the table and told me: “the table cannot be moved,” before leaving. At that time, there was a bag, belonging to me, with a bottle on the table that fell due to the push. The waitress did not apologize for what happened nor did she ask if we wanted to have a drink.
Given this situation, I decided to ask the manager for explanations. However, his response was unkind and he rudely reproached me for saying that the table could not be moved. To aggravate the situation even more, I observed that at the next table there were two chairs moved in the middle of the street and the last table, close to Terrace Street, had a customer sitting with his feet on another chair.
The manager approached me aggressively, insisting that I had moved the table. I felt threatened and had to put my hand between us to keep some distance.
Unfortunately, this experience has led me to feel that there is unequal treatment of clients. It seems that if you are Spanish and from Estepona, they respect you less than other customers. If you are Spanish and from Estepona, they call your attention as if we had no education.
I hope that this complaint is taken into account to improve service and ensure a more pleasant experience for all customers. I appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to your response.

The Food
La Italiana is best known for sweet things, although you will find a selection of rolls and toasted sandwiches.
Great value and generally served quickly.
If you enjoy Ice cream it’s highly recommended.
La Italiana isn’t the place to for dinner but for a sweet treat or a light snack, it’s perfect!
The Location
This Café is in a beautiful square in the center of estepona complete with a fountain.
There a lots of tables outside but it’s often busy, especially in the summer. You can’t reserve so patience if required.
They are open from 9am in the morning for breakfast and in the summer go through to 1am in the morning for late night ice cream. 🍨
