During the winter especially you’ll probably want to enjoy the warmth from the sun for as long as possible.
Here’s some places in Estepona that are blessed with some late sun.
Evening Sun Spots in Estepona
A Rooftop Bar
By getting yourself above the buildings, you can enjoy the sun until it disappears behind the horizon. I know of three rooftop bars in Estepona, and all of them are great to visit.
Be sure to check out my full guide to the Rooftop bars in Estepona.
Egg Square (Plaza Antonia Guerrero)
I love Egg Square any time of the day. No one calls it Plaza Antonia Guerrero, although that is its official name.
Due to its location, it’s a great sun trap throughout the afternoon and into the evening.
It also has three bars so you should be able to find somewhere to sit and enjoy a refreshment whilst you soak up the last of the days rays.
Get Down to the Seafront
The beach and the paseo get the last of the sun, but you need to be as close to sea as possible as the buildings can obscure the sun.
I recommend bars like Paralelo 36, Central Beach, or any of the many Chiringuitos.
If you don’t want to go to a bar you can just sit by the roundabout at the end of Avenida Juan Carlos as the sunlight reaches the paseo there between the buildings.
Cristo Beach
Cristo Beach is a wonderful beach.
Its position also means that it catches the late sun. It’s also a great spot to watch the sun go down behind the hills.
There are also two beach bars so you can grab a drink or something to eat too.
La Escollera Restaurant
La Escollera is a very popular fish restaurant in Estepona Port
If you arrive early in the evening, you can get a table out front and enjoy the evening sun.
They serve drinks as well as some delicious seafood-based tapas.
